| วิก เป็นคำที่คนไทยเคยเรียกสถานที่จัดมหรสพในยุคปลายรัชกาลที่ 7 เช่น วิกลิเก วิกจำอวด คำภาษาอังกฤษว่า Vic มาจากการเรียกชื่อย่อของโรงละคร Royal Victoria Theatre ในปลายศตวรรษที่ 17 |

| วิกหัวหิน ศิลปะสถานเพื่องานศิลป์และการละครแห่งใหม่ของประเทศไทยท่ามกลางบรรยากาศธรรมชาติของหัวหิน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ก่อตั้งขึ้นจากความตั้งใจของ ภัทราวดี มีชูธน ที่ทุ่มเทสร้างวิกหัวหินโดยมุ่งหมายให้เป็นที่แลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และวัฒนธรรม แบบครบวงจร ทั้งการแสดง การละคร นิทรรศการ รวมไปถึงการเป็นโรงเรียนและสถานที่ฝึกอบรมเยาวชนไทยจากทั่วประเทศ ให้เรียนรู้และรู้จักการผสานความรู้ทางวิชาการกับจินตนาการสร้างสรรค์ให้ เกิดเป็นรูปธรรม ทั้งในรูปแบบ ของการแสดงและนิทรรศการอันมีคุณค่าและสวยงาม เพื่อสร้างเป็นพื้นฐานทางวัฒนธรรม ที่สามารถพัฒนาต่อ ให้เยาวชนเป็นประชาชนพลเมืองของชาติที่มีคุณค่า มีคุณธรรม และมีความสุข |

| วิกหัวหิน ตั้งอยู่ในอำเภอหัวหิน ที่เต็มไปด้วยอดีตและความทรงจำ เมืองเล็กๆ ที่พระบาทสมเด็จเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 6 ทรงสร้างพระราชนิเวศน์มฤคทายวัน เป็นตำหนักประทับแรม ต่อมาในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 7 ทรงสร้าง พระราชวังไกลกังวล เป็นวังส่วนพระองค์ ซึ่งปัจจุบันได้เป็นที่ประทับแปรพระราชฐานฤดูร้อนของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ และพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ทุกพระองค์ ทรงประทานองค์ความรู้มากมายจาก โครงการทดลองของพระองค์ท่าน และโรงละครแห่งนี้ จะเป็นสถานที่แห่งใหม่ ที่สร้างความทรงจำให้แก่เยาวชนและประชาชนทั่วไป |

| “Vic” comes from “Old Vic”, the common name for London’s famous Royal Victorian Theatre founded in 19th century. The theatre has been the stage for the greatest performers in the past century. “Hua Hin” is the district where the arts complex is located in province Prachuap Kirikhan, Thailand. Hua Hin is an idyllic beachside resort town, where royal residences like Maruekatayawan Palace and Klai Kangwon Palace have been built since the reign of Rama VI. Hua Hin is also the cradle of His Majesty the King Bhumibol’s (Rama 9) many royal projects. For their love towards their King, Hua Hin has a special place in the hearts of Thai people. |

| The 30-rai space of Vic Hua Hin was the originally the land of Khunying Supatra Singholaka, a businesswoman with the soul of an artist and a mother who understood her children. She had not only encouraged her daughter, Patravadi Mejudon, to take up performing arts, but urged her to build her own theatre, so that Patravadi could share and create invaluable learning opportunities for others. Patravadi built her first theatre in 1992, in Bangkok, and it has been the cradle for many renowned performing artists in Thailand, and an important platform for showcasing international productions. |

| With the experience gained in Patravadi Theatre, Patravadi Mejudhon created the VIC HuaHin as big-scale comprehensive arts complex. It is the classroom, playground, home, laboratory and school hall for students of Patravadi High School HuaHin. It is also a multi-purpose hub that provides studios, theatres, accommodation, gallery, and seminar spaces for Thai and international artists. |
