| Koh Kood (Kood Island) is the furthest island on the east-coast of Thailand. It’s the second largest island in Trat, next from Koh Chang. |

| Because of the longer transportation time, Koh Kood is much less crowded than Koh Chang, hence makes it an ideal getaway place with an almost private white sand beach and crystal clear water. |
| |
| With only 2,000 population on Koh Kood, the nature on the island is still very much unspoiled. With mountains, waterfalls, mangrove forest, there is always new aspect of nature for you to discover at your own pace on Koh Kood. |

| The over all climate on Koh Kood is sunny and breezy, with some rains in monsoon season. Although Koh Kood can be visited all year round, the best time to come could be from November to February, when the weather is cool and the sky is clear. From March to May it’s a little hotter but still perfect weather for beach holiday. |

| Total of 8 rooms, each one has its own unique layout and function. Water & electricity are self generated (photo-vortex cells) and Bann Makok practices a few hours of Earth Hour each day. |

| We are located along a klong (canal) that connects ‘Klong Yai Kee Waterfalls’ to ‘Klong Yai Kee Beach’ on Koh Kood, Trat province. Trat is east of bangkok at a distance of a little more than 300 kilometers. |
| |
| By bus (5-6 hours) : Air-conditioned buses leave from eastern bus terminal (Ekamai) and northern bus terminal (Mor Chit 2) to Trat several times everyday. We would like to suggest Cherdchai tour, operating from Ekamai, as the company has received good feedback so far. The contact detail and operating time is as follows. But please check again with the operator for the up-to-date schedule. |

| This is the message from olive, written on November 2009, before Bann Makok open its doors to welcome guests. |
| |
| ” I fell in love with this island 20 years ago. I was on another photographic shoot for an advertising print ad, and we had chosen this island as it had a forest, a beach and a waterfall. |
| |
| We started our journey by an ordinary fishing boat around 1 am in the morning (in those days took around 5 hours, but now a mere 50 minutes by speed boat) to reach the island of Koh Kood. I had drifted into a deep sleep and woke up to a gentle mist floating over the mountain, crystal clear water with the sound of nature around me and a sunrise so beautiful… Something like this I had had failed to recognize or experience before. |

| By co-incidence (or maybe it’s destiny), there happened to be a ceremony on the island of Koh Kood on that day, and I joined in. During this ceremony I said a prayer and made a wish, that someday, I could be a part of this island and its people… Since then I have never been parted from Koh Kood. |
| |
| It was a dream I had like most city folk, to have a holiday resort, a place to escape from the busy and demanding city life… that was a long time ago, but that dream was kept alive in my mind. |
| |
| And today, it’s time to make a wish and dream to be true. |
| I believe that a place like this is meant to be shared, so I decided to open it out to my guests, to people who love and care for nature and for those seeking peace and quiet. It is a simple abode, and it may not have five star facilities, and luxuries, but is a home away from home. |

| I invite you to experience and share in the peaceful surroundings, its beautiful unspoiled beaches and its natural waterfall. |
| |
| My one request to you is to please be considerate to the others who may be sharing this abode by keeping the peace and quiet after midnight. Feel one with nature and like me, I hope you too will fall in love with this beautiful piece of earth. |
