Driving from Bangkok
Get on the expressway in the direction of Dao Khanong and cross Rama IX bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs to Samut Sakhon. You will drive approx. 100 km in a straight line south, passing Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram, and finally will reach a fork in the road – right to Ratchaburi, left to Phetchaburi. Go left and continue on to Phetchaburi. When you reach Phetchaburi, there will be another fork – left into Phetchaburi town, and right to Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Take the right-hand road. After approx. another 30-40km, just before entering Cha-am, you’ll come to yet another fork.If you want to avoid the traffic and red lights in Cha-am and Hua Hin, continue on the right-hand side (the sign says Prachuap Khiri Khan). This is where the Cha-am-Pranburi bypass road begins. Note: Both routes are almost exactly equal in distance but the bypass is faster. Here’s how to get to the resort from this point on, depending on which option you decide to choose.

Via Cha-am – Pranburi Bypass Road
Once you turn onto the bypass road, you will drive straight ahead for approx. 50km. The bypass road then merges back to the main Phetchakasem Road and continues on into Pranburi (You’ll see a Makro Cash and Carry on the right just before the road merges). After you merge back onto the main Phetchakasem Road, continue on straight ahead. Drive through the first traffic light in front of Thanarat Military Camp, continue on past the Esso, Shell and Caltex petrol stations on the left, and then turn left at the second traffic light (a Tesco Lotus Superstore is on the corner)
After turning left at the light, follow that road to the end for approx. 3.7km – you will go over a railroad crossing, pass Pranburi Hospital and after going over a small bridge will end up at a T-junction. Turn right at the junction, and then immediately left at the little police station. From the police station, drive 16.5 km straight ahead towards the entrance to the park. After 16.5 km you’ll see a Thai temple, Wat phu noi, on the right. Turn left down the little road opposite the temple and drive straight about 2 km until you come to the beach. Turn left on the beach road.
Dolphin Bay Resort lies 60 meters ahead – it’s easy to recognize by the two large swimming pools and big water slide! Parking is at the rear of the resort. Turn left onto the access road which runs along the far wall of the property.

The Bay and Beach
Dolphin Bay is a pond-like picture of blue-green tranquility, perfect for windsurfing, kayaking, and other water sports. Its gentle waves and shallow waters make bathing in the bay safe for children and adults alike. The 5km long beach is best for jogging or long walks at sunrise or sundown.
The pristine waters of the protected bay are a natural haven and breeding ground for a school of gray and pink dolphins, which can be seen from the resort and are even known to swim along with the fishing boats guests take out into the bay on excursions!

..Your beach holidays in HuaHin, Thailand..

45km away from Hua Hin, directly on the beach of Dolphin Bay, the resort is surrounded by Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and some of Thailand’s most magnificent natural scenery. Far from crowded beaches, bright neon lights, and noisy tourist hangouts typical of Thailand’s other vacation destinations, Dolphin Bay Resort lies on a spectacular, unspoiled 5km beach with panoramic views of the bay, nestled between mountain peaks and dotted with lush tropical islands.

Activities In The Park
Sam Roi Yot National Park

The bay’s five kilometer beach is ideal for sunbathing, beach volleyball, and long walks or jogging, especially at sunrise or sunset. The panorama of the calm, pristine waters stretching to the horizon, dotted with lush tropical islands and colorful fishing boats has a hypnotic, soothing effect on anyone who lays eyes on it.

Families will be happy to know that the sea is shallow enough to make it completely safe for kids – waves are gentle, and you can walk 50 – 100 meters out before it gets deeper than your waist.

Koh Lam, nicknamed Monkey Island, is directly opposite the resort and is home to over 100 wild crab eating long-tailed macaque monkeys. Their diet consists mainly of crabs and mussels (they know how to use rocks to crack mussel shells), but they are always very grateful for donations of bananas by visitors to the island.

Fishermen from the local villages go out to sea nightly, squid being the main catch in this area. From their boats to our kitchen!

The most interesting wildlife living in the bay is of course the pod of Indo-pacific humpback dolphins, five or six of which are pink!

They live and breed in the bay for 10 of 12 months of the year and it’s always an exciting experience if you’re lucky to see them close up while swimming or boating.

Dolphin Bay is thankfully still a real insider’s secret!

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park was declared as the first coastal park in Thailand in 1966. The name Khao Sam Roi Yot translates as “Three Hundred Mountain Peaks”, describing the series of magnificent gray limestone mountains which rise dramatically from the Gulf of Thailand.

The park offers fine, sandy beaches, 3 spectacular caves, superb mountain viewpoints, offshore islands, forest trails, boat excursions, and estuarine and mangrove habitats, all within a relatively small area.
