Samed Island is a part of Rayong Province. Located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Distance between the Samed Island and BaanPhe Pier at Rayong province is only 6-7 kilometers. Samed island is famous throughout Thailand and popular tourist destination there are plenty of beach activities are a favorite of travelers worldwide. Samed Island has many beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear water including SaiKaew Beach, WongDuen Bay, Phai Bay, Tabtim Bay, Tien Bay, Prao Bay, Cho Bay, Noina Bay and etc., Each of sandy beaches ideal for a nice holiday. เกาะเสม็ด เป็นเกาะที่ตั้งอยู่ในทะเลน่านน้ำเมืองระยอง โดยอยู่ห่างจากชายฝั่งบ้านเพ ประมาณ 6.5 กิโลเมตร ในพื้นที่ของอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาแหลมหญ้า-หมู่เกาะเสม็ด ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีชื่อเสียงของระยอง ที่ได้รับความนิยมทั้งจากชาวไทยและต่างประเทศ เกาะเสม็ด นั้น มีที่มาจากการที่เกาะนี้มีต้น เสม็ดขาวและเสม็ดแดง ขึ้นอยู่มาก และเชื่อกันว่าเกาะเสม็ด คือ “เกาะแก้วพิสดาร” ในวรรณคดีเรื่อง “พระอภัยมณี” ของสุนทรภู่ ที่ได้บรรยายลักษณะของเกาะเอาไว้ว่าเป็นเกาะที่มีหาดทรายขาวละเอียดอยู่ทั่วไป เกาะเสม็ดมีหาดทรายธรรมชาติสวยงามที่มีชื่อเสียงหลายแห่ง ได้แก่ หาดทรายแก้ว อ่าวน้อยหน่า อ่าวลูกโยน อ่าวไผ่ อ่าวพุทรา อ่าวทับทิม อ่าวลุงดำ อ่าวช่อ อ่าววงเดือน อ่าวเทียน อ่าวหวาย อ่าวกิ่ว อ่าวปะการัง และอ่าวพร้าว
